memebers of society who are communicators and life-long learners.

Program Goals

To increase learning potential
To develop coping strategies for individual handicapping conditions
To provide academic services in the areas of reading, writing, language arts, spelling, and math
To provide assistance in understanding content area material
To increase self-esteem and social skills
To improve organizational/study skills
To provide consultation to regular classroom teachers regarding necessary modifications for special needs students
To develop supplementary materials in the core academic areas

Student Expectations

Students will act respectfully toward themselves, their peers, teachers, and support staff
Students will follow all school rules as listed in their student handbook
Students will bring their class work with them and are expected to work or participate in class activities going on in the learning center (the learning center is not a place to "hang out")
